The Box Itself
My box was a plain box that I bought at AC Moores. Then my sister covered taped it with blue duct tape. I then brought it into my high school band and had them all sign it to remind me of home while I was away. I then retaped it in packing tape to preserve the writing.
Marching Gloves
These were my gloves all throughout tour. Don't tell me how they survived because honestly. I don't even know. They used to be white but that only lasted a couple weeks. I ended up washing them at one point on a laundry day and the shrunk in the dryer. These gloves have been through a lot.
Zebra Balloon
This balloon was given to me by my section leader back before spring training. I managed to keep it all summer. We used balloons during our brass warmups if you are unfamiliar with breathing exercises.
Pay it Forward Pins
Every year Jersey Surf designs a pin that all members wear on their uniform at shows. At the end of the season, the member is allowed to keep their pin.
Pay it Forward Bracelet
As a promotion for our 2014 show, we sold and wore bracelets that said Pay it Forward on it. When you do something kind for someone, you take it off and tell them to Pay it Forward. This is my last one that I keep in the box.
Cheerleader Patch
I would this patch while I was in Huntsville, Alabama. There was a cheerleading competition at the same place as the DCI competition. I found this outside the tour bus and kept it as a souvenir.
Drum Corps Minitures
While I was in Atlanta, Georgia for the regional show, there was a drum corps minitures table and I grabbed a bumber sticker and flyer just incase I ever wanted to buy one when I had more money.
DCI Magazine
My grandma gave this to me when she saw me in Allentown. It includes articles such as "Why Take Your Class to a DCI Show" and a bunch of ads for different instuments and equipment.
DCI Yearbook
Also given to me in Allentown. It includes the information about all the 2014 programs and tour schedule.
2015 Finals Scorecard
After my performance during Semifinals, I had all of Finals Night to watch shows. I sat in the farthest up and farthest right seat you can be in. This was the scorecard they give you to right down your predictions and actual scores.
Lucas Oil Turf Turds
I was able to keep the turf turds that were in my shoes after my performances in Lucas Oil Stadium during Finals Week. Probably one of the coolest things I have from Lucas Oil.
Jacket and Patches
This is my corps jacket and the patches that I still have to put on it. My favorite memory from all of the entire summer. I still need the Southeast and Southwest patches before I put them all on.
